What happens if I have a question relating to the finances of my business?

An accountant will be assigned to you who will provide assistance for your finance related queries. You can also contact him/her via email or fax.



How long does it take for you to take over my accounting?

As we serve small scale businesses, no transition takes longer than 30-60 days.



I have only a part-time accountant so my accounting costs are really low already. Can you still help me?

Yes we can. We can take over your accounting completely and save you money over what you are paying your current accountant.



How do I retain control over approving all my transactions?

While we do the work, you will have complete control over all your transactions. No unsigned cheques will be issued. Approval is required for posting entries, mailing outward bound documents (e.g. Invoices, Paystubs and purchase orders). We will create a payment based on your instructions and notes in the invoice. You can also do a second approval online where you can look at the invoice image and choose to pay or reject it.



Will you take my original documents?

No. We will not keep your original documents. If you are based in the NY/NJ area, we will arrange a pick up for the documents, make a copy of them and return the originals back to you. If you fall outside this area, you can either mail or fax the copies to our New Jersey office.



What software will you use?

We provide services solely on QuickBooks, which are the best in class for small scale businesses.



Where is AMTAX Accounting Services based?

We have offices in New Jersey, USA and New Delhi, India. The New Jersey office deals with clients and carries out activities that can only be done in the US. The New Delhi office is where the data processing happens.



Can I speak to someone locally?

Yes. In addition to your accountant who is offshore, you can speak to our account executives based in New Jersey who will resolve all your concerns.
